steute, in Löhne/Westphalia, Germany, was founded in 1961 and has an excellent reputation as a manufacturer of electrotechnical products for machinery, apparatus and plant engineering.

Today steute, with about 140 employees, develops and manufactures a large program of switchgears for complex and critical applications.

Our medical foot-control business unit evolved from more than 40 years in the industrial foot control market. With the emergence of the Medical Device Directive in 1996, and other relevant standards affecting the design and construction of foot controls for medical applications, our firm formed the Steute Meditech strategic business unit.

This unit is focused exclusively on the design development and production of foot-operated controls that functionally, ergonomically and aesthetically complement the equipment they are controlling.
